2. The cable has 2 adjustment points: a screw on the gas pedal lever, which allows you to control the stop of the fully released position of the pedal, and a clamp, which is located on the thread of the outer cable at the bracket on the intake manifold (see photos).

3. Adjust the cable so that when the gas pedal is released, the cable has a slight slack at the throttle body (injection models) or carburetor (carburetor models).
4. With the air cleaner removed, check that the throttle valve is fully open when the gas pedal is fully depressed. Adjust the cable using the screw on the pedal and the E-clamp.
5. To replace the cable, loosen all adjustment devices by pulling the E-shaped lock out of its groove at the end of the cable. Pull the inner cable out of the slot on the gas pedal lever.
6. Pull the clamp off the ball head at the end of the cable and pull the cable out through the engine compartment bulkhead (see photos).

7. The cable is installed in the reverse order.
