2. The cable has 2 points of adjustment: a screw on the gas pedal lever, which allows you to control the stop of the fully released position of the pedal, and a clamp, which is located on the thread of the outer cable near the bracket on the intake manifold (see photos).

3. Adjust the cable so that when you release the gas pedal, the cable has slight slack near the throttle body (injection models) or carburetor (carburetor models).
4. With the air cleaner removed, check that the throttle valve is fully open when the gas pedal is fully depressed. Adjust the cable using the screw on the pedal and the E-shaped clamp.
5. To replace the cable, loosen all adjustment devices by pulling the E-shaped clamp out of its groove at the end of the cable. Pull the inner cable out of the slot on the gas pedal lever.
6. Pull the clamp off the ball head at the end of the cable and pull the cable through the engine compartment bulkhead (see photos).

7. Install the cable in the reverse order.
