Note: Before making adjustments, check that the ignition system is correctly adjusted, the air filter is clean, and the engine is in good mechanical condition.
1. With the engine at normal operating temperature, connect the tachometer to the engine in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
2. Let the engine idle and compare the idle speed with the value indicated in Specifications. If adjustment is necessary, loosen the lock nut and turn the quantity screw to obtain the desired speed. The quantity screw is located at the rear of the throttle body (see fig. 3.52). Once the adjustment is complete, tighten the locknut.

3. To check the composition of the mixture (CO content in the exhaust) Connect the gas analyzer in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. With the engine running at a given idle speed, measure the CO content and compare it with Specifications.
4. If adjustment is necessary, remove the cap from the quantity screw located on the air flow sensor (see photo). Turn the screw clockwise to richen the mixture or counterclockwise to combine it.

5. Upon completion, adjust the idle speed as necessary.
6. If you cannot achieve the required CO content in the exhaust, this indicates a malfunction of the injection system or severe engine wear.
