The indicators described below may not be available on some vehicle versions. The description applies to all device versions. When the ignition is turned on, most of the indicators will light up for a short time, which can be considered as a test of their performance.
The colors of the indicators indicate:
- red - danger, an important reminder;
- yellow - warning, help, malfunction;
- green - confirmation of inclusion;
- blue - confirmation of inclusion;
- white - confirmation of inclusion.
Turn indicator
Lights up or flashes green .
Lights up for a short time
Parking lights on.
Flashing
Turn signals or hazard warning lights on.
Fast flashing
Failure of the direction indicator lamp or the corresponding fuse, failure of the trailer direction indicator lamp.
Seat belt reminder
Reminder to fasten seat belts in the front seats
Driver's seat indicator lights up or flashes red.
The front passenger seat indicator lights up or flashes red when there is a person in the seat.
Continuous glow
After the ignition is switched on, before the seat belt is fastened.
Flashing
After starting the engine for a maximum of 100 seconds before fastening the seat belt.
Condition of the rear seat belts
The indicator is blinking or on
Continuous glow
After the ignition is turned on, when the seat belt is fastened.
Flashing
After driving, if the seat belts are not fastened.
Airbag and seat belt tensioners
The indicator lights up in red.
When the ignition is turned on, the indicator lights up for about four seconds. If the indicator does not come on, does not turn off after four seconds, or comes on while the vehicle is moving, there is a problem with the airbag system. Contact a service station for help. The airbags and seat belt pretensioners may not deploy in an accident. Deployment of seat belt pretensioners or airbags is indicated by the flashing indicator.
Attention. Contact a service station immediately to have the problem rectified.
Deactivating the airbag
The indicator lights up amber - the front passenger airbag is on.
The indicator lights up amber - the front passenger airbag is deactivated.
Attention.
- There is a mortal danger to a child in a child safety seat if the front passenger airbag deploys.
- There is a mortal danger to an adult passenger if the front passenger's airbag does not operate.
Charging system
The indicator lights up red.
Turns on after the ignition is turned on and turns off shortly after starting the engine.
Switching on while the engine is running
Stop, stop the engine. The battery does not charge. It is possible that the cooling of the engine is broken. Power steering operation may not be effective. Contact a service station for help.
Malfunction indicator
The indicator is on or blinking yellow.
Turns on after the ignition is turned on and turns off shortly after starting the engine.
Switching on while the engine is running
Malfunction of system of decrease in toxicity of the fulfilled gases. The permissible limits of exhaust gas parameters may have been exceeded. Contact a workshop immediately for assistance.
Flashing when the engine is running
A malfunction that could damage the catalytic converter. Reduce pressure on the accelerator pedal until the flashing stops. Contact a workshop immediately for assistance.
Your vehicle needs to be serviced soon
The indicator lights up yellow.
Additionally, a warning message or warning code is displayed. The car needs maintenance. Contact a service station for help.
Brake system and clutch
The indicator lights up red.
Illuminates when the mechanical parking brake is released, if the fluid level in the brake system and clutch is too low.
Attention. Stop. Don't keep moving. Consult a service station.
Electric parking brake
The indicator lights up or flashes red.
Continuous glow
The electric parking brake is on.
Flashing
The electric parking brake is not fully on or off. Turn the ignition on, depress the brake pedal and try to reset the system by first disengaging and then applying the electric parking brake. If continues to flash, do not resume driving and contact a service station for assistance.
Malfunction of the electric parking brake
The indicator is on or blinking yellow.
Continuous glow
The electric parking brake is less effective.
Flashing
Electric parking brake in service mode. To reset, you must stop the car, apply and release the parking brake.
Attention. Contact a service station immediately to have the problem rectified.
Anti-lock braking system (ABS)
The indicator lights up yellow.
Lights up for a few seconds after the ignition is switched on. The system is ready for operation when the indicator goes off. If the indicator does not go out after a few seconds or stays on while driving, this indicates a malfunction of the ABS system. The brake system continues to function, but without ABS.
Switching to high gear
The indicator is green.
To save fuel at high engine speeds, it is recommended to engage a higher gear.
Adaptive steering
The indicator lights up yellow.
Malfunction of the adaptive steering system. This can lead to partial or complete damage to the steering support. Consult a service station.
Lane Departure Warning
The indicator can be green, amber, or flashing amber.
Lights up green
The system is on and ready to go.
Lights up yellow
Lane departure was not detected.
Flashing yellow
The system recognizes unintentional lane change from one lane to another.
Ultrasonic parking assistance
The indicator lights up yellow.
Fault in the system or malfunction due to dirt, ice or snow on the sensors, or interference from external sources of ultrasound. Once the source of interference is removed, the system will operate normally. Eliminate the cause of the system malfunction at a workshop.
Electronic stability control
The indicator flashes yellow.
Continuous glow
A system fault has been detected. You can continue your trip. However, depending on the condition of the roadway, stability may decrease. Eliminate the cause of the malfunction at a workshop.
Flashing
The system actively intervenes in the management process. Engine power may decrease and the vehicle may decelerate automatically.
Electronic stability control disabled
The indicator flashes yellow.
The system turns off.
Traction control system disabled
The indicator flashes yellow.
The system turns off.
Preheating
The indicator lights up yellow.
Preheating on. It turns on only when the outside temperature is low.
Diesel particulate filter
The indicator is on or blinking yellow.
The diesel particulate filter needs to be cleaned.
You can continue driving until the indicator goes out. Do not bring the engine speed below 2000 rpm.
Continuous glow
The diesel particulate filter is full. The cleaning process should begin immediately.
Flashing
The maximum clogging level of the filter has been reached. To avoid damage to the engine, start the cleaning process immediately.
Tire pressure monitoring system
The indicator is on or blinking yellow.
Continuous burning
Tire pressure drop. Stop immediately and check tire pressure.
Flashing
Malfunction in the system or a wheel without a pressure sensor is installed (e.g. spare wheel). After 8090 seconds, the control indicator lights up continuously. Consult a service station.
Engine oil pressure
The indicator lights up red.
Turns on after the ignition is turned on and turns off shortly after starting the engine.
Switching on while the engine is running
Attention. Engine lubrication may be impaired. Doing so could damage the engine and/or lock up the drive wheels.
- Depress the clutch.
- Engage neutral gear, move the gear selector lever to position N.
- Get the car out of traffic as soon as possible without disturbing other cars.
- Switch off the ignition.
Attention. When the engine is off, much more effort is required to brake and turn the steering wheel. Do not remove the key until the vehicle has come to a complete stop, otherwise the steering wheel lock may cause an accident.
Before contacting a service station, you should check the engine oil level.
Low fuel
The indicator lights up yellow.
The fuel level in the tank is too low.
Immobilizer
The indicator is blinking yellow.
Malfunction in the immobilizer system. Engine start is not possible.
Reduced engine power
The indicator lights up yellow.
Engine power is limited. Consult a service station.
Step on the brake pedal
The indicator lights up yellow.
To release the electric parking brake, the brake pedal must be depressed.
Outdoor Lighting
The indicator is green.
The outside marker lights are on.
The indicator is green.
The automatic light control system is on.
High beam
The indicator lights up blue. Illuminates when the high beam is on and when the headlights are flashing.
Adaptive headlight system
The indicator is on or blinking yellow.
Continuous burning
Fault in the system. Contact a service station for help.
Flashing
The system has been switched to symmetrical dipped beam. If the indicator flashes ONE MORE TIME for about four seconds after the ignition is turned on, it reminds you that the system is on.
Daytime running lights
The indicator is green. Daytime running lights are on.
Anti-fog headlight
The indicator is green. The front fog lights are on.
Rear fog lamp
The indicator lights up yellow. The rear fog light is on.
Low fluid level in the washer reservoir
The indicator lights up yellow. The fluid level in the washer reservoir is low.
Rain sensor
The indicator is green.
Automatic rain sensor included.
Automatic cruise control system
The indicator lights up white or green.
- White indicator light - the system is on.
- Green indicator light - a certain speed of movement is recorded in memory.
Opened door
The indicator lights up red.
The side or rear end flap is open.
