Removal the upper part of the intake manifold
1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Remove the air filter housing.
3. Disconnect the wiring connector from the throttle body.
4. Remove the pressure sensor, ignition coils, air temperature sensor, unscrew the two bolts 8 securing the throttle valve and the bolts securing the upper part of the intake manifold (figure 2.51).
Figure 2.51. Remove the pressure sensor, ignition coils, air temperature sensor, unscrew the two bolts 8 securing the throttle valve and the bolts securing the upper part of the intake manifold.
Installation
5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Replace manifold and throttle body gaskets if necessary. Tighten the intake manifold bolts in the recommended order. Tighten the throttle body bolts, air filter housing bolts.
Tightening torques
- Intake manifold bolts - 9 Nm.
- Throttle body bolt - 12 Nm.
- Air filter bolt - 9 Nm.
Removal the lower part of the intake manifold
Caution: Be careful when removing the injectors or fuel rail as they may contain a small amount of fuel.
6. Remove the intake manifold.
7. Disconnect the battery, disconnect the wiring connector 1 from the pressure sensor in the hydraulic power steering, the fuel line from the fitting 2 of the fuel rail (figure 2.52).
