Removal



1. Remove the air filter outlet pipe.

2. Raise and secure the vehicle.

3. Drain the coolant.

4. Disconnect and remove the electrical connector (1) of the heated oxygen sensor No.1.

4. Disconnect and remove the electrical connector (1) of the heated oxygen sensor No.1.


5. Loosen the two bolts (3) of the intake manifold bracket.

6. Remove the intake manifold bracket (2).

7. Lower the vehicle.

8. Disconnect the wiring harness connector.

9. Disconnect the pipes from the fuel vapor recovery system purge solenoid valve (1).

9. Disconnect the pipes from the fuel vapor recovery system purge solenoid valve (1).


10. Remove the fuel vapor recovery system electromagnetic purge valve (1) with the rubber cushion from the intake manifold (2).

11. Remove the positive crankcase ventilation system pipe.

12. Remove the throttle body.



13. Disconnect the manifold absolute pressure sensor connector.

14. Remove the engine wiring harnesses.

15. Loosen the two bolts (2) securing the bracket for the fuel vapor recovery system purge solenoid valve.

16. Remove the bracket (1) of the fuel vapor recovery system purge solenoid valve from the intake manifold (7).

17. Loosen the two bolts (3) securing the fuel rail.

18. Remove the fuel rail (4) with injectors (5) from the intake manifold (7).

19.Remove the four fuel injector seals (6).

20. Remove the absolute pressure sensor in the intake manifold.

21. Disconnect the booster vacuum line (1) from the intake manifold.

22. Loosen the seven bolts (1) securing the intake manifold.

23. Remove the intake manifold.



Installation



1. Clean the contact surfaces.

2. Install a new gasket.

3. Install the intake manifold and tighten the seven mounting bolts to 20 Nm.

4. Connect the booster vacuum line to the intake manifold.

5. Install the manifold absolute pressure sensor.

6. Install four new fuel injector seals (6).

7. Install the fuel rail (4) and injectors (5) of the intake manifold (7).

8. Install the two fuel rail mounting bolts and tighten to 8 Nm.

9. Install the bracket (1) of the fuel vapor recovery system purge solenoid valve on the intake manifold (7).

10. Install the mounting bolts (2) and tighten to a torque of 8 Nm.

11. Install the engine wiring harness.

12. Connect the absolute pressure sensor connector to the manifold.

13. Install the throttle body.

14. Install the crankcase ventilation pipe.

15. Install the fuel vapor recovery system purge solenoid valve (1) with a rubber cushion on the intake manifold (2).

16. Connect the pipes of the electromagnetic valve (1) for purging the fuel vapor recovery system.



17. Connect the wire harness connector.

18. Raise and secure the vehicle on the lift.

21. Install two bolts (2, 3) of the intake manifold bracket and tighten to 8 Nm.

22. Lower the car.

23. Fill the cooling system.

24. Install the air filter outlet pipe.

25. Close the hood.
