Exhaust Manifold Replacement — 2.0L Petrol Engines (Opel Insignia A)

Removal the exhaust manifold

1. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the heat shield (1) of the exhaust manifold.



2. Loosen the exhaust manifold mounting nuts.

Note: Use a Torx socket^® E16 for unscrewing torx nuts.

3. Remove the exhaust manifold (1).



4. Remove the exhaust manifold gasket (2).

Installing the exhaust manifold

1. Install new exhaust manifold studs (1) and tighten to 15 Nm.



2. Install the exhaust manifold gasket (2).





3. Install the exhaust manifold (1) onto the cylinder head.

Note: Install the torx nut in the correct position.

4. Hand tighten the new exhaust manifold mounting nuts to the cylinder head.

5. Tighten the exhaust manifold mounting nuts in the specified sequence to a torque of 14 Nm in two passes.

Note: Use a Torx socket to tighten Torx nuts^® E16.

6. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield (1).



7. Install the heat shield bolts and tighten to 25 Nm.
