Exhaust manifold — removal and installation (Opel Omega A)

1. Disconnect the high-voltage wiring from the spark plugs and ignition coil.

2. Unscrew the bolts securing the exhaust outlet pipe to the exhaust manifold, lower the distribution pipe and remove the connections (photo).





3. Gradually loosen the nuts, then remove the exhaust manifold from the struts on the cylinder head (photo). Remove the gasket.



4. Clean the mating surfaces of the exhaust manifold and cylinder head.



5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order, use a new gasket and tighten the mounting nuts with the tightening torque specified in the Specification (photo).
