Replacing the fuel filter (petrol engines) (Opel Corsa C)

Removal



Remove the air duct shield from the underbody B.

Release the fuel filter from the holder.

Remove bolt 1.

Note: The figures show the "Combo" model variant (F06, F25).

Install the head of the special tool 1 onto the fuel filter 2.

Threaded nipple 3 points downwards.

Press the entire surface of the rubber seal (arrow) onto the fuel filter housing.

Adjust the tie accordingly.

Tighten it with the clamp.

Tighten it with the clamp.


Place the fuel collection vessel 3 on the head of the special tool 1.

Caution! The fuel filter is under pressure. Check the special tool for a secure fit.


Attach the fuel collection vessel to the threaded pipe and tighten.



Note: The built-in drill drills through the fuel filter housing. The leaking fuel flows into a collecting vessel.


Blow out the fuel filter.

Attention! Follow the given sequence.


Using the pliers 5 supplied with the special tool, make the hole at the top as wide as possible (arrow).

Remove and plug 2 fuel lines (2, 4) from the fuel filter.

Caution: Remove the fuel lines only when fuel no longer flows out of the fuel filter.


Remove using KM-796-A tool from quick release coupling.

Plug the fuel line using the KM-807 tool.

Plug the fuel line using the KM-807 tool.


Once the fuel filter is empty, remove the special tool.

Remove the receiving vessel.

Remove the head of the special tool – loosen the tension clamp.

Remove the fuel filter.

Installation



Insert 2 new connecting clamps 1 into the quick-release bushing of the fuel line 2.

Insert a new fuel filter.

Insert into the holder from the front.

Note: Please follow the directions for passing.


Connect 2 fuel lines (4, 5) to the fuel filter.

Remove the special tool KM-807.

Connect the 2 fuel lines with a quick release fitting to the fuel filter.

Perform a tensile test.

Note: Make sure the quick release latches are properly secured.




Secure the fuel filter into the holder.

Install bolt 3 and tighten it to 4 Nm.

Install bolt 3 and tighten it to 4 Nm.


Install the air duct shield on the underbody.

For the model variant "ECO"



With the engine running, check the 2 quick-release valves on the fuel line in the fuel filter for leaks.
