High pressure fuel pipes (Opel Frontera B)

Removal



Remove the engine cover.

Disconnect the hose from the intake manifold that connects it to the intercooler and move it to the side.

Disconnect the connectors, remove the wiring harness support brackets from the cylinder head cover and intake manifold and move them to the side.

Mark the installation position and remove the clamps (1) securing the high-pressure fuel pipes.

Mark the installation position and remove the clamps (1) securing the high-pressure fuel pipes.


Disconnect the high-pressure fuel pipes from the fuel rails and injection pumps.

Warnings:
  • Immediately after disconnecting the high-pressure pipes, be sure to plug any openings through which contaminants may enter the fuel system.
  • High pressure fuel lines are intended to be used only once, so use new lines when installing.
  • Do not change the bend shape of the high pressure tubes.


Installation



Connect the high-pressure fuel pipes to the fuel rail and the high-pressure fuel pump and secure them with the union nuts, tightening them to a torque of 25 N·m.

Install the high pressure fuel line clamps.

Install the wiring harness support brackets to the cylinder head cover and intake manifold and connect the connectors.



Connect the hose to the intake manifold that connects it to the intercooler.

Install the engine cover.

Remove air from the fuel system (see the relevant chapter).
