Oil temperature sensor (Opel Frontera B)

Removal

Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.

Remove the lower engine compartment protection.

Place a container under the oil drain plug to collect any leaking oil. Remove the plug and drain the engine oil from the engine.

Disconnect the connector (1) of the oil temperature sensor (2).



Remove the oil temperature sensor from the oil pan.

Installation

Install the oil temperature sensor with a new O-ring into the oil pan.

Connect the connector to the oil temperature sensor.

Screw the oil drain plug with a new sealing ring into the oil pan and tighten it to a torque of 10 N·m.

Install the lower engine compartment protection.

Connect the cable to the negative terminal of the battery.

Fill the engine with the required amount of the required motor oil.
