Removal
Caution: Before removing the sensor, drain the coolant into a container, see p. 3.2.
Unscrew the generator mounting bar and move it to the side.
Disconnect the plug and unscrew the sensor.

Examination
Lower the sensor, tying a wire to it, into a bath of water so that it does not touch the walls. Cool the water with pieces of ice, then heat it on the stove, removing the sensor at certain temperatures and measuring the resistance between the contact tongues, see table.

Installation
Screw in the sensor with a new sealing ring.
Caution: Do not tighten the sensor too much.
Connect the plug.
Add coolant.
Screw on the generator mounting bar. Tighten the V-belt.
Make a test drive. Check for leaks. Tighten the sensor if necessary.
