

2. To check its operation, disconnect the fuel supply hose on the fuel distribution line in the engine compartment, direct it into a calibrated container with a capacity of about 5 liters.
3. Remove the relay cover in the right rear corner of the engine bay. Pull the fuel pump relay out and pull the base off the hanger.
4. Using a jumper, connect the 30V and 87V terminals together for one minute (photo).

5. The container should collect about 1.6-2.4 liters of fuel. If not, the fuel filter may be clogged or faulty.
6. To remove the fuel pump, block the front wheels, jack up the rear of the vehicle and secure it on axle stands.
7. On a separate fuel pump, disconnect the wiring, then install clamps to both hoses and disconnect them. Unscrew the clamp bolt, remove the fuel pump.
8. On the in-tank pump, remove the filler cap and pump out the fuel. Disconnect the connector, then install clamps on the feed and return hoses and disconnect them. Unscrew the bolts, remove the fuel pump. Remove the gasket.
9. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
