1. Block the front wheels, then jack up the rear of the car and secure it on axle stands.
2. Install clamps on the fuel filter inlet and outlet hoses.
3. Unscrew the clamp bolt from the bottom.
4. The fuel inside the filter remains under pressure even when the ignition is off, so wrap a cloth around both ends of the filter to absorb any spilled fuel.
5. Loosen the clamps and disconnect the filter from the hoses.
6. Install the new filter using the reverse order of the removal procedure, the arrow on the surface of the filter should correspond to the direction of fuel flow from the fuel tank to the engine.
