Carburetor models



1. Disconnect the air intake duct and warm air duct from the air filter.

2. Loosen the three mounting nuts, lift the air cleaner from the carburetor, disconnect the vacuum hose for regulating the inlet air temperature.

3. Remove the air filter gasket.

4. Remove the air filter cover and take out the element.

5. Wipe the inside of the housing and cover. Check the gasket and replace it if necessary. Prepare a new element.

6. To check the operation of the intake air temperature control, apply vacuum to the thermal switch at the base of the air cleaner. The flap in the intake pipe should open the warm air duct and close the cold air duct.

7. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

8. Unfasten the spring clips securing the cover to the air filter housing.

9. Lift the cover and remove the element (photo).

10. Wipe the inside of the housing and cover. Prepare a new element.

11. If necessary, unscrew and remove the housing. Disconnect the air intake duct, where available.
