Removal and installation the air filter element (Opel Kadett D)

Every 30,000 km change the air filter element, every 15,000 km knock it out. If there is a strong accumulation of dust, the filter should be cleaned at shorter intervals.

Attention! The filter element must not be cleaned with either gasoline or oil.

Depending on the design, unscrew either one nut in the center or three nuts on the air filter.

Depending on the design, pull the edge of the lid outward while lying down and open it with your hand without a tool, or open 6 metal clamps.



Remove the air filter cover.

Remove the filter element.

Clean the filter housing thoroughly, while closing the inlet.

Knock out the filter element with the dirty side down, or replace it.

Installation



Insert the filter element, press on the cover and secure with clamps and bolts. When installing the cover, make sure that the spout on the cover fits into the groove on the outlet pipe.
