By means of a damper in the air filter chamber, the air drawn in by the engine can be supplied to the air filter in two different ways. As a result, air at different temperatures can be supplied to form an air-fuel mixture. The position of the damper lever is determined by the outdoor temperature - summer position above +10°C. winter position is below +10°С.
Attention: If the damper is in the winter position, as a result of the action of the springs on the damper at high engine power, less warm air is sucked in, thereby reducing fuel consumption.
Attention: If you want to drive very economically, the damper position at the following outside temperatures should be as follows: summer position above 0°C, winter position below 0°C. With this position of the damper, it is possible to save 0.5 liters of fuel but 100 km.
However, care must be taken to ensure that the engine runs flawlessly and responds well to gas. Otherwise, you need to change the position of the damper lever when the outside temperature is high.
