Air filter — replacing the filter element (Opel Zafira A)

Replace the filter element at the specified intervals (see "Periodic maintenance").

Note. The operation is shown using the example of replacing an element on an Astra model with a 1.6 DOHC engine. On cars with other engines, as well as on the Zafira model, the operation is performed similarly.


Sequence of execution



1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").

2. Disengage the four holders of the upper air filter cover from engagement.

3. Lift the cover and remove the filter element.

Recommendation: Clean dust from the bottom of the air filter housing.
