In an electronic throttle valve, the valve opens to a certain angle (including in idle mode) is provided by an electric motor controlled by the ECU. The ECU receives information about the desired throttle opening angle from the gas pedal position sensor, which is assembled with the pedal itself.

In addition to the throttle position sensor (see above), the throttle assembly with a cable drive of the throttle valve from the gas pedal has an idle speed controller built in. With its help, the ECU opens the throttle valve, regulating the amount of air entering the engine cylinders at idle.
Fuel pump located in the fuel tank.

It is used to supply fuel from the tank to the fuel rail under the required pressure. If the fuel pump fails, the engine will not start. If the fuel pump electrical circuit is faulty, the engine management system malfunction indicator lamp lights up on the instrument panel.
Pressure regulatorthe fuel pressure gauge is located in the fuel tank and is designed to maintain constant pressure in the fuel rail.

When the fuel pressure regulator is faulty, the engine runs unstably. Strong interruptions in operation are also possible when the engine operating modes change abruptly.
Nozzles
The nozzle is a needle electromagnetic valve with a spray nozzle on the outlet pipe (as an example, the injector of the 1.4 and 1.6 DOHC engines is shown, the injector of the 1.8 DOHC engine has minor visual differences from the above).

The injector opens on the signal from the ECU, and the fuel is injected under pressure into the intake channel, directly in front of the intake valve. By changing the opening time of the injector, the ECU regulates the amount of fuel injected.
The car uses four injectors. They are installed in the holes of the intake channels of the intake manifold.

Adsorber. It is connected by pipelines to the fuel tank and the intake manifold and is designed to trap fuel vapors so that they do not enter the atmosphere. The adsorber is located in different ways:
- on the Astra model in the arch of the right front wing (the mudguard is removed);

- on the Zafira model behind the front bumper in front of the wheel (the mudguard is removed).

Purge valve the adsorber is fixed to the air filter housing.

In certain engine operating modes, the ECU opens the valve and fuel vapors from the adsorber enter the intake manifold.

The vehicle uses a four-terminal ignition module. The module terminals are located above each cylinder and are responsible for spark formation in each of them.

In certain engine operating modes, the ECU opens the valve and a small portion of the exhaust gases enters the intake manifold.

The system consists of a pneumatic chamber, an electromagnetic valve and a flap installed in the intake manifold. With their help, the ECU regulates the power characteristics at different crankshaft speeds.
