Replacing the air filter element (Opel Vectra A)

The paper filter must be replaced every 30,000 km. If it is heavily contaminated, the filter must be cleaned or replaced.

Disconnect the hose from the filter going to the intake manifold.

Open the tape holder on the filter housing.

Pull the filter housing forward and remove the filter element upward.

Cover the inlet with a clean, lint-free cloth. Wipe the filter housing thoroughly inside and out.

To clean the filter element, gently tap it on a hard surface with the dirty side down. Install the cleaned or new element, after removing the rag from the inlet.

Caution! Do not wet the filter element with gasoline or oil!

Secure the front of the filter with a strap holder.

Connect the hose.
