Some adjustment points (where is available) in the fuel system are protected by plugs. The plugs are designed to prevent an incompetent car enthusiast from getting to the screws. In some EEC countries, operating a car with damaged plugs is prohibited.
Before removing the plug, make sure you will not violate local or national anti-pollution regulations by doing so. Install a new cap after making adjustments if required by law.
Do not remove caps on a vehicle that is still under warranty.
