1. On carbureted models, remove the air cleaner (Chapter 4), then open the throttle manually and disconnect the inner cable from the grooved cam.

2. On fuel injected models, release and remove the small spring clip, disconnect the inner ball joint of the cable from the lever on the throttle body (photo).

3. Pull the cable housing bushing off the holder suspension (photo).

4. Inside the vehicle, disconnect the inner cable from the accelerator pedal.



5. Release the sealing ring from the bulkhead and push the cable into the engine compartment.

6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Adjust the cable by selecting the appropriate position of the spring clip behind the cable housing bushing, giving only a slightly noticeable sag of the inner cable when the gas pedal is released.
