Removing
1. The fuel filter is located on the fuel pump bracket under the rear of the vehicle Or on the right side of the spare wheel well or in front of the fuel tank, depending on the model (see illustrations).
2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
3. Prepare a container to collect the fuel after removing the filter.
4. Pinch the fuel supply hoses on both sides of the filter to reduce fuel loss when the hoses are disconnected.
5. Loosen the clamp screws and disconnect the fuel supply hoses from the filter.
6. Loosen the clamp bolts and remove the fuel filter from the bracket. Note the orientation of the arrow on the filter housing indicating the direction of flow and the position of the mark "AUS" (exit) at the end of the filter.
Installation
7. Install in reverse order. Correctly orient the filter according to the labels.
8. Start the engine and check the system for leaks. If there are leaks, shut off the engine immediately and have the problem repaired without delay.
