Technical characteristics of the fuel injection system «LE3-Jetronic» (Opel Kadett E)

The 18SE engine is equipped with a fuel injection system "LE3-Jetronic" bosch, which is a further development of the system "LE-Jetronic". The main difference of the system "LE3-Jetronic" is that the electronic control unit is combined into one unit with the air flow meter. This allowed to reduce the space occupied by the injection system components and simplify the electrical wiring. The CO content in the exhaust gases is regulated not by the mixture quality (composition) screw, but by the CO adjustment potentiometer built into the electronic unit.
