Fuel pump

Fuel pump is diaphragm type, mechanical, driven by camshaft eccentric

Brand:
  • engines "13N", "13S", "14NV": Pierburg or AC Delco (type RA 6900);
  • engines "16S", "16SV": AC Delco.

Boost pressure at crankshaft speed of 1950 rpm, kg/cm²:
  • engines "13N", "13S", "14NV": 0,25-0,36;
  • engines "16N", "16SH", "16SV": 0,25-0,33.

Air filter

Air filter with replaceable paper filter element. Engine air filter "13N", "13S" and "14NV" has a heating flap with a pneumatic drive, controlled by a valve with a bimetallic spring, which is located in the filter housing.

Brand and type of air filter: Mann C 2846.

Carburetor Solex 35 PDSI

On cars with the "13N" engine, a single-chamber Solex 35 PDSI carburetor is installed. emulsion type, with a mechanical accelerator pump and starting device, with a manual air damper drive, with an electromagnetic shut-off valve, with a fuel mixture enricher at various engine operating modes and an idle system, with constant adjustment of the carbon monoxide (CO) content in the exhaust gases.

Carburetor model: 9.276.935.

Carburetor Pierburg 2EZ

On cars with engines "13S", "14NV" and "16SV" uses a Pierburg 2E3 carburetor. The carburetor is an emulsion type, two-chamber, with sequential opening of the throttle valves.

The carburetor has two main metering systems of the 1st and 2nd chambers, an idle system of the 1st chamber with a transition system, a transition system of the 2nd chamber, a lock of the 2nd chamber, an economizer of power modes, an economizer, a diaphragm accelerator pump, an automatic device for starting and heating of a mixed type, which uses a bimetallic spring with electric heating and circulation of heated liquid from the engine cooling system, and a pneumatic drive of the air damper and a device for electric heating of the intake manifold are used. The carburetor has a pneumatic drive of the throttle valve of the 1st chamber, controlling its movement in idle and forced idle modes, as well as a pneumatic drive of the throttle valve of the 2nd chamber. At forced idle, the economizer of forced idle is activated.

Cars with the "14NV" engine are equipped with carburetors of model 90 107 560. Cars with the "16SV" engine with a manual transmission are equipped with a carburetor of model 90 107 522, with an automatic transmission - model 90 107 523.

Carburetor GM Varajet II

Cars with the "16S" engine are equipped with a GM Varajet II carburetor.

The carburetor is an emulsion type, two-chamber, with sequential opening of the throttle valves. The carburetor has the main metering systems of the 1st and 2nd chambers, the idle system of the 1st chamber, the idle mixture quantity correction system, the hot engine idle air valve, the 2nd chamber mixture composition compensation system, the 2nd chamber enrichment valve, the economizer, the 2nd chamber lock, the electromagnetic idle shut-off valve, the piston accelerator pump. The carburetor of cars with a manual transmission has a starting device with a mechanical air damper drive, the carburetor of cars with an automatic transmission has an automatic starting device.

On cars with a "16S" engine with a manual transmission, a carburetor model 96 002 101 is installed, with an automatic transmission - model 96 002 102.
