Checking, removing and adjusting the air flow meter (Opel Kadett D)

Examination



Turn off the ignition.

Disconnect the plug from the control relay.

Use an ohmmeter to measure the resistance between terminals 8 and 9 of the plug. The value is 160-300 Ohm. If necessary, check the wiring (0 Ohm).

Measure the resistance between terminals 7 and 5. Value 60-1000 Ohm. Otherwise check the wiring.

Removal



Removal


Loosen the clamp and remove the air hose.

Disconnect the plug from the air flow meter.

Open the latches and remove the air flow meter together with the upper part of the filter.

Open the latches and remove the air flow meter together with the upper part of the filter.


Unscrew the air meter from the top of the filter.

Check the ease of movement of the damper.

Wipe away any dirt in the damper area.



Installation



Screw the air meter onto the top of the filter, place it on the filter and snap it into place.

Connect the plug.

Put on the air hose.
