Checking the control relay (Opel Kadett D)

The control relay is located on the suspension strut support next to the battery.

Disconnect the plug from the control relay.

Connect the test pump to terminals 4 and 5 of the plug.

Start the engine. The indicator lamp should light, otherwise check the wiring with the ignition off.

Connect the test lamp to terminals 9 and 5. Start the engine. The test lamp should light.

Otherwise, turn off the ignition, disconnect the battery. Use an ohmmeter to check the conductivity (0 Ohm) of the cables between terminal 9 of the plug and terminal 87 of the control relay, terminal 30 of the control relay and the positive pole of the battery.
