Checking and adjusting heating and ventilation control cables (Opel Frontera B)

Ventilation control cable



By turning the control handle all the way to the left, check the operation of the air damper control cable.

Make sure that the cam (1) of the throttle lever is in the locked forward position.

Make sure that the cam (1) of the throttle lever is in the locked forward position.


If necessary, remove the clamp (2) and move the cable sheath (3) so that the cam (1) of the lever is in the fixed forward position, then secure the cable sheath with the clamp.

Air temperature control cable



Turn the air temperature control knob to the cold air position to check the operation of the cable.

Make sure that the cam of the throttle lever (3) is in the upper position.

Make sure that the cam of the throttle lever (3) is in the upper position.


If necessary, remove the clamp (1) and move the cable sheath (2) so that the lever cam is in the upper position, then secure the cable sheath with the clamp.



Air distribution mode selection cable



By turning the air distribution mode selection knob all the way to the right, to the "demist" position, check the operation of the cable.

Make sure that the lever cam (1) is in the locked forward position.
