Removal



At a specialized station, discharge the refrigerant from the air conditioning system.

Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.

Remove the central screw securing the radiator grille.

Remove the central screw securing the radiator grille.


Release the 8 fasteners and remove the radiator grille from the vehicle.

Remove the front bumper (see the relevant chapter).

Use a marker to mark the position of the hood lock.

Remove 3 bolts (arrows) and remove the hood lock from the front cross panel.

Remove 3 bolts (arrows) and remove the hood lock from the front cross panel.


Disconnect the connector from the horn.

Remove the support pillar from the front cross panel.

Disconnect the connector from the pressure sensor.

Disconnect the connector from the pressure sensor.


Disconnect the air conditioning system pipes from the condenser and immediately cover the disconnected pipes and their connections with appropriate caps to prevent moisture from entering the system.



Remove the bolts and brackets together with the rubber condenser mounting pads.

Remove the condenser from the vehicle.

Installation



Before installing the condenser, install new sealing rings on the tubes connected to the condenser and lubricate them with compressor oil.

When installing a new condenser, to maintain the compressor oil balance in the air conditioning system, add 30 cm³ of compressor oil to the system.

Install the condenser with brackets and rubber cushions and secure the brackets to the front cross panel with bolts, tightening them to a torque of 10 Nm.

Connect the upper air conditioning pipe with a new sealing ring to the condenser and secure with the bolt, tightening it to a torque of 15 N·m.

Connect the lower air conditioning pipe with a new sealing ring to the condenser and secure with the bolt, tightening it to a torque of 16 N·m.

Connect the connector to the pressure sensor.



Install the support post onto the front cross panel.

Connect the connector to the horn.

In accordance with the previously applied marks, install the bonnet lock and secure it with 3 bolts, tightening them to a torque of 10 Nm.

Install the front bumper (see the relevant chapter).

Install the radiator grille and secure with 8 clips.

Screw in the central screw securing the radiator grille.

At a specialized station, evacuate the air and charge the refrigerant into the air conditioning system.

Connect the cable to the negative terminal of the battery.
