Replacing the electronic thermostat (Opel Frontera B)

Note: Have the refrigerant discharged from the air conditioning system at a specialized station.

Removal

Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.

Remove the evaporator (see the relevant chapter).

Disconnect the connector from the electronic thermostat.

Remove the screw, release the clamp and remove the electronic thermostat from the evaporator.

Installation

Install the electronic thermostat into the evaporator and secure with screw and clamp.

Connect the connector to the electronic thermostat.



Install the evaporator (see the relevant chapter).

At a specialized station, evacuate the air and charge the refrigerant into the air conditioning system.

Connect the cable to the negative terminal of the battery.
