Note: Have the refrigerant discharged from the air conditioning system at a specialized station.
Removal
Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.
Remove the glove box (see the relevant chapter).
Disconnect the connectors from the resistors and electronic thermostat installed in the evaporator.
Disconnect the air conditioning drain hose and tubes from the evaporator. Immediately close the disconnected tubes and their connections with appropriate caps to prevent moisture from entering the system.
Loosen the nuts and remove the evaporator from the engine compartment bulkhead.

Installation
When installing a new evaporator, to maintain the compressor oil balance in the air conditioning system, add 50 cc of compressor oil to the system.
Install the evaporator on the engine compartment bulkhead and secure with nuts, tightening them to a torque of 6 Nm.
Install new O-rings on the tubes connected to the evaporator and lubricate them with compressor oil.
Connect the air conditioning outlet pipe with a new sealing ring to the evaporator and secure with the bolt, tightening it to a torque of 25 N·m.
Connect the air conditioning inlet pipe with a new sealing ring to the evaporator and secure with the bolt, tightening it to a torque of 15 N·m.
Connect the drain hose to the evaporator.
Connect the connectors to the resistors and electronic thermostat installed in the evaporator.
Install the glove box (see the relevant chapter).
At a specialized station, evacuate the air and charge the refrigerant into the air conditioning system.
Connect the cable to the negative terminal of the battery.
