Location of glow relay

2. Connect a voltmeter to terminal 30 of the relay holder and ground. The voltmeter should register the presence of voltage, otherwise check the voltage supply from the battery.
3. Connect a voltmeter to terminal 86 of the relay holder and ground. Turn on the ignition. The voltmeter should register the presence of voltage, otherwise check the voltage supply from the battery.

4. If voltage is present, check the wire going to the glow plugs and replace it if necessary. Otherwise, replace the glow plug relay.
5. Using an ohmmeter, check that there is no resistance between terminals 30 and 87 of the relay. If battery voltage is applied to terminals 86 and 85, the relay should turn on. The resistance between terminals 30 and 87 in this case should be zero.
