Removal
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
2. Disconnect the contact bus from the glow plugs and remove it.
3. Remove the glow plugs.

Examination
1. Connect an ohmmeter and measure the spark plug resistance. It should be approximately 0.4 Ohm.

2. Apply battery voltage to the glow plug. To do this, connect one wire to the body of the plug and the other to its thread.

3. The spark plug should begin to glow at the top of the heating pin. If not, replace the spark plug.
Perform the test quickly, otherwise the spark plug may be damaged.
Installation
1. Screw the spark plug into the cylinder head with a force of no more than 20 Nm.
Exceeding the tightening force of the spark plug leads to an increase in the annular gap between the heating pin and the threaded part and premature failure of the spark plug.
2. Attach the contact bus to the spark plugs.
3. Connect the negative cable to the battery.
