Raise the vehicle and support it on supports.

Loosen the nut (1) securing the diagonal crossbar (2) and move the bar to the rear of the vehicle.

Place a suitable container under the rear axle housing.

Remove 10 bolts (2) and remove the differential cover (1) from the rear axle housing and drain the oil. When disposing of drained oil, observe environmental requirements.

Clean the mating surfaces of the rear axle housing and differential cover.

Apply a 2mm bead of sealant to the differential cover mating surface.

Install the differential cover (1) and secure with 10 bolts, tightening them to a torque of 41 Nm.

Install the diagonal crossbar (2) and secure with the bolt (1), tightening it to a torque of 100 Nm.

Remove the transmission oil filler plug (1) from the differential cover.

Fill the rear axle housing with the recommended oil until the oil level reaches the lower edge of the threaded hole for the oil filler plug.

Screw the oil filler plug with a new sealing ring into the differential cover and tighten it to a torque of 75 N·m.

Lower the car.
