Removal
Raise the vehicle and support it on supports.
Remove the front wheel.

Use a jack to support the lower arm of the front suspension.
Remove the bolt and brake pipe bracket (A) from the front suspension upper arm.
Remove the bolt and wire (B) of the wheel speed sensor (models with ABS).

Remove the cotter pin, unscrew the nut and use the KM-787 puller to remove the upper ball joint from the left steering knuckle.

Remove the 2 bolts (arrows) securing the front suspension upper arm axle and remove the front suspension upper arm from the vehicle.

Warnings:
- When removing the camber adjusting plates, record their location and quantity.
- When removing the caster angle adjusting plates, record their location and quantity.
Installation
Install the upper front suspension arm and install the camber and caster adjustment plates according to the notes made earlier.

With the shims installed, tighten the front upper arm axle mounting bolts to 152 N·m.
Install the upper ball joint onto the steering knuckle. Tighten the upper ball joint pin mounting nut to a torque of 98 N·m and turn it until the first alignment of the locking hole with the slot in the crown nut. Install a new cotter pin.
If the position of the axle relative to the upper front suspension arm has been changed, for example when replacing a bushing, rotate the lower front suspension arm so that the distance T to the stop is 22 mm and tighten the axle bushing mounting nuts to a torque of 108 N·m.

Install the brake pipe bracket (A) to the front suspension upper arm and secure it with the bolt.
Install the wire (B) of the wheel speed sensor (models with ABS) on the upper arm of the front suspension and secure it with a bolt.

Install the front wheel.
Lower the car.
