2. Loosen and remove the pinch bolt and lower the lower suspension arm to release the ball joint from the steering knuckle.
3. Turn off nuts and separate the basis of the hinge from the stabilizer of cross-section stability. Pull back the anti-roll bar.
4. Remove the vertical front mounting bolt and the horizontal rear mounting bolt, discard them, and remove the lower control arm from under the vehicle. Note that the horizontal surfaces of the bolt head point forward.
5. Refer to Chapter 6 when installing the suspension ball joint. Examine the rubber bushings on the lever, and if necessary, replace them by pushing out the old ones and inserting new bushings. Use a long bolt, nut, metal tube and pressure washers to push out and soak new bushings in soapy water before installing them. The vertical bushing must be removed upwards from the lever and the new bushing is inserted by pushing down. The horizontal bushing must be removed from front to rear and a new bushing fitted from rear to front.
6. When installing, first place the arm on the bottom and insert new mounting bolts.
Note: Do not reuse old bolts.
7. Install the lever horizontally and tighten the nuts and bolts with the tightening torque specified specification.
8. Insert the ball joint into the steering knuckle and install the pinch bolt. Clamp with torque specified specification.
9. Reinstall the hinge to the anti-roll bar and tighten the nuts.
10. Install the front wheel and lower the vehicle to the ground.
11. Finally, check and, if necessary, adjust the alignment of the front wheels (Chapter 30).
