1. Perform the following procedures at the intervals given in Ongoing maintenance at the beginning of this guide.
2. Stop the engine, remove the brake booster reservoir cap and check the level. There are two marks: with a hot engine, the level should be at the top mark, with a cold one -
on the bottom.
3. Top up if necessary with specified fluid, but if leakage is suspected, fully check hoses and connections.
4. Fix the front of the vehicle on the axle stands, then check the play in the steering tie rod ball joints and the lower suspension ball joints. Also check the ball joint rubber dust covers. Check how the tie rods move on the ball pins.
5. Replace ball joints if necessary.
6. Examine the power steering pump drive belt for wear, damage and wear.
7. Check drive belt tension.
8. Examine the tire court and tread for wear and damage. If the tire is not worn correctly, fully check the steering and suspension. Check and adjust tire pressure.
