1. Accurate wheel alignment greatly affects steering performance and prevents excessive tire wear. Before checking, make sure that the car is not overloaded and that the tire pressure is correct.
2. Camber and kingpin caster angles are best checked at a workshop using specialized equipment. The caster angle of the kingpin is not adjustable, unlike the camber angle of the front wheels.
3. Toe setting can be checked as follows. Place the car on level ground. Set the wheels straight ahead and roll the car back and forth about 4 meters.
4. Using a wheel alignment template, check that the front wheels are aligned as specified in the Specifications.
5. If adjustment is necessary, loosen the clamp bolts on the side tie rods and turn the ends an equal number of threads. Both tie rods must be equal in length.
6. After adjustment, center the ball joints and tighten the bolts.
