1. Apply the handbrake, jack up the front of the car and secure it on axle stands. Remove the left wheel.

2. Disconnect the center tie rod by unscrewing the nut and using a ball joint removal tool to press out the ball joint (photo).



3. Unscrew the nut from the base of the intermediate gear suspension and remove the heat-resistant shield. The bushing is replaced together with the lever.

4. If necessary, unscrew the intermediate gear suspension from the bottom.

5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order, using new auto-lock nuts and tighten the nuts and bolts with the tightening force specified Specification. When installing the idler gear hanger bolts, use a small amount of thread locking compound.
