1. Remove the front hub as described in Chapter 10.
2. Turn off a guard of a disk from a rotary fist.
3. Unscrew the nut from the ball joint of the steering rod and, using the connector-nick of the ball joints, separate the trunnion.
4. On models with ABS, remove the wheel speed sensor and cable.
5. Loosen and remove the pinch bolt and lower the lower control arm to remove the ball joint from the steering knuckle.
6. Mark the position of the top of the steering knuckle relative to the strut to secure the camber setting, then unscrew and discard the bolts and remove the pivot. Note that the surface of the bolt heads is facing forward.
7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order, but use only new bolts and nuts. Clamp with torque specified specification and adjust camber and wheel alignment if necessary.
