Rear Anti-Roll Bar — Removal and Installation (Opel Omega A)

1. Block the front wheels, then jack up the rear of the car and secure it on axle stands.

2. Support the final drive mechanism with a jack. Unscrew the rear part.

3. Unscrew the two hinges from the diagonal arms and remove the rubber cushions (photo).



4. Remove the clamp bolts from the top of the crossmember, release the clamps and remove the anti-roll bar from under the vehicle.

5. Remove the ball joints and upper rubber pads from the stabilizer bar. If necessary, the rubber pads can be pressed using a metal tube, pads and a long bolt with a nut. Soak the new rubber pads in soapy water before installing.

6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order, but tighten all nuts and bolts to the specified tightening torque Specification.
