2. Use a magnet to remove the locking pins located between the holes in the driver roller (photo). There is no need to remove the end cap.
3. Use a screwdriver to pick out the shaft seal of the gear lever (photo).
4. Remove the retaining ring, then remove the rocker from inside the housing, noting the location of the gaskets.
5. Remove the location mechanism roller bearing using a suitable extractor (photo). If necessary, heat the bearing housing before removing.
6. Remove the outlet flange gland from the body (photo).
7. Clean all components, replace as needed.
8. Assemble in the following sequence. Insert the rocker together with the gaskets into the housing. Install the outer gaskets, then the circlip.
9. Install plungers, springs and caps. Using a mallet, drive the caps all the way into the body, making sure the springs are in the correct positions (photo).
10. Use a metal pipe to drive the roller bearing of the positioner into the housing. The groove under the bearing must fit into the recess in the housing.
11. Drive a new outlet flange seal into the body (photo).
12. Press a new gear lever shaft seal into the housing.
