2. Position the vehicle over a pit or jack up the front and rear of the vehicle and secure it on axle stands.
3. Clean the area around the fill plug/level on the right side of the transmission, then loosen and remove the plug from the transmission.
4. To check the gear oil level, you need to make a suitable dipstick. You can use a piece of electrode. Insert it into the fill plug/level hole, check the oil level. It should be approximately 9mm below the bottom edge of the fill plug/level slot.
5. If necessary, top up the gear oil level.
Note: Do not overfill gearbox oil. The excess must be sucked off or drained from the gearbox, otherwise the shifting action may be impaired.
6. After checking the level and topping up the transmission oil, install the filler plug and tighten it with the torque specified in the Specification.
7. Frequent refilling indicates a leak, possibly through the stuffing box. The cause must be identified and eliminated.
