Adjustment is only possible using GM tool No. KM-631.
1. Apply the handbrake. Jack up the front of the car, secure it on axle stands. Place the shift lever in neutral position.
2. Loosen the clamping bolt on the shift rod.
3. Inside the car, remove the protective cover from the central console. Unscrew the two screws and remove the frame of the central console. Release the rubber membranes and bend them up.
4. Install the tool No. KM-631 into the casing by pushing the gear lever to the right.
5. Turn the rod clockwise with a wrench until it stops.
6. Tighten the bolt.
7. Remove tool and check correct gear selection.
8. Install rubber membranes, center console frame and boot.
9. Lower the vehicle to the ground.
