Adjustment is possible only using GM tool No. KM-631.
1. Apply the handbrake. Jack up the front of the car and secure it on axle stands. Set the gearshift lever to neutral.
2. Loosen the clamp bolt on the gear shift rod.
3. Inside the car, remove the protective cover from the central console. Unscrew the two screws and remove the frame of the central console. Release the rubber membranes and bend them upward.
4. Install tool No. KM-631 into the casing, pressing the gear shift lever to the right.
5. Turn the rod with a wrench clockwise until it stops.
6. Tighten the bolt.
7. Remove the tool and check that the gear selection is correct.
8. Install the rubber membranes, center console frame and cover.
9. Lower the car to the ground.
