The rear axle of the Vectra is designed as a multi-link axle and is made for a vehicle as active as the Vectra. The rear wheels are made very precisely, as a result of which constant camber values are also ensured, including when subjected to lateral forces. The multi-link axle, like the front axle, is combined with an amice, which is fixed to the bottom with four volume damping bushings. As a result, the rear axle also eliminates the connection between running gear noise and vibration twice. The structural elements of a multi-link rear axle are: a cross member and, on each side of the wheel, a trailing arm, an upper and lower cross member. This axle design ensures that the axle participates in driving and improves comfort when cornering and when changing lanes. The rear axle additionally has a stabilizer. It prevents the rear of the vehicle from leaning sideways when cornering.
