Removal



Remove the axle shafts from the rear axle.

Place a suitable container under the rear axle housing.

Remove 10 bolts and remove the differential cover from the rear axle housing and drain the oil.

Using the special tool KM-2263 (arrows), expand the rear axle housing and remove the differential with increased internal friction, for which, manually rotating the stop screw, spread the special tool as much as possible, then use a wrench to tighten the nut by half a turn.

Warning! Do not exceed 0.508mm expansion, even if the differential is very tight, otherwise the rear axle housing may become deformed. Use a dial indicator to check the volume expansion of the rear axle housing.




Installation



Using the special tool KM-2263 (arrows), expand the rear axle housing and install the differential with increased internal friction into the axle shaft housing.

In accordance with the marking, install the side bearing caps on the rear axle housing and secure with 4 bolts, tightening them to a torque of 85 N·m.

Install the differential cover and secure with 10 bolts, tightening them to 41 N·m.

Install the axle shafts into the rear axle.

Remove the oil filler plug.

Fill the rear axle housing with oil until the oil level reaches the lower edge of the threaded hole for the oil filler plug.

Screw the oil filler plug into the crankcase and tighten it to a torque of 75 N·m.

Lower the car.
