Pallet — removal and installation (Opel Ascona C)

            0

1. Remove the drain plug and allow the engine oil to drain into a suitable container. Replace and tighten the plug.

2. On 1.3 engines, unscrew the bolts and remove the mudguard from the oil pan (if installed).

3. Disconnect the exhaust downpipe from the manifold and at the ball joint and remove the front section of the exhaust system from the vehicle.

4. Loosen and remove the tray fixing bolts and lower the tray. Remove all traces of old gasket from sealing surfaces.

5. To install the pan, apply sealant to the sealing surface of the crankcase and to the gasket on both sides and install the gasket in place.

6. Install the pan in place, apply a little sealant to the bolts and tighten them (see photo).

7. Install the exhaust pipe in place, replacing the flange connection gasket with the manifold with a new one.

8. Fill the engine with oil.

9. Install the mudguard in place (if provided).
