2. Unscrew the drain plug, drain the engine oil into a suitable container. Then wipe off the plug, install and tighten it.
3. Remove the nuts from the top of both engine mount brackets.
4. Use a winch to raise the engine approximately 25 mm.
5. On models with automatic transmission, unscrew both hangers of the engine mount bracket.
6. Turn off bolts of the pallet, get the pallet forward over a crossbar.
7. Pull the baffle forward and rotate it to expose the suction tube.
8. Remove the rubber gasket from the baffle.
9. If necessary, unscrew the oil level sensor from the sump, remove the gasket (photo).
10. Completely clean the sump and baffle, clean the connector surface on the crankcase.
11. Install a new rubber gasket on the baffle.
12. Apply sealant GM 1503 294 (90 001 871) on both sides of the gasket only in the corners.
13. Place baffle on crankcase, then install sump. Clamp the pallet temporarily with two or three bolts.
14. Apply a blocking compound to the threads of the bolts, insert and tighten them evenly in a diagonal sequence with the tightening torque specified in the Specification.
15. On models with automatic transmission, install the engine mount brackets and tighten the bolts.
16. Lower the engine and tighten the engine mount bracket nuts. Disconnect the winch.
17. Lower the vehicle to the ground.
18. Fill the engine with oil.
