1. Make sure the battery is fully charged and that all lubricants are cooled. fluid and fuel are topped up.
2. Double check all joints and connections.
3. Remove spark plugs and negative (Number 1) electrical wire from the ignition coil. Turn the engine over with the starter until the oil pressure warning light goes out. The fuel system will also be primed during this action.
4. Connect ignition coil wiring, install spark plugs and wires. Start the engine.
5. Once the engine is running, keep it running in fast idle mode only (no faster) and warm up to normal operating temperature.
6. As the engine warms up, there may be unusual odors and some smoke from hot parts. Check for water or oil leaks that will be noticeable. Also check the exhaust pipe and manifold connections as they don't always find their exact position until the vibration is applied to them and will need further tightening. This must be done with the engine stopped.
7. When warmed up to normal operating temperature, adjust the engine idle speed as described in Section 3.
8. Stop the engine, wait a few minutes to see if the lubricant or coolant is leaking. liquid.
9. During the initial period of engine operation, the valve lifters will be unusually noisy, but this noise should gradually disappear after a few kilometers.
10. After reaching the operating temperature, stop the engine and tighten the cylinder head bolts to the specified angle in the sequence given in Fig. 1.3. There is no need to re-tighten the bolts.
11. If many new internal components have been installed, it is a good idea to change the engine oil and oil filter after the first 1000 km.
