1. After completing the engine assembly, double check the oil and coolant levels. Check that the wiring and hoses are connected correctly.
2. Disconnect the ignition system and the fuel system by removing the connector from the ignition unit and the fuel pump relay from the mounting block in the engine compartment. Turn the crankshaft with the starter until the oil pressure warning lamp goes out. Connect the connector and relay.
3. Start the engine. The engine should start after a short period of time, which is necessary for gasoline to fill the fuel line.
4. As the engine warms up, watch carefully for fluid leaks (oil, gasoline, coolant).
5. After the engine has cooled down, check the oil and fluid levels.

6. If the rings and liners have been changed, the engine must undergo a break-in period of 800 km. During the break-in period, do not allow driving at high speeds, avoid long-term driving in low gear. After the break-in period is complete, change the oil and filter.
