Basic operations possible with the engine in a car (Opel Omega A)

The following steps can be performed without removing the engine from the vehicle:

• a) Removing and installing the cylinder head;
• b) Removing and installing the pallet;
• c) Removing and installing the oil pump;
• d) Removing and installing the timing belt;
• e) Removal and installation of pistons and connecting rods;
• f) Removing and installing the flywheel;
• g) Removing and installing engine mounting brackets;
• h) Removing and installing the camshaft;
• i) Replacement of front and rear crankshaft oil seals.
